Happy Friday, y’all! I’m so excited to share Vivrelle with you today. Vivrelle is a designer handbag and jewelry rental company where members can borrow items every month at different subscription levels. They are stocked with major designers like Saint Laurent, Chanel, Dior, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and more! They are constantly adding new styles to their site and renting couldn’t be easier! Check out below what I love about Vivrelle and how you can get in on the fun.
How Does It Work?
Vivrelle is a members-only club providing access to coveted designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and diamonds for a monthly membership fee. Depending on what types of items and your budget, you can pick a membership that fits your needs! Once you apply (I was approved in 2-3 days if I remember correctly) and are approved, you’re ready to start borrowing from the Vivrelle closet! Something to note: once approved, you do have to sign up for 3 months. This ensures that members are utilizing the services best, not jumping on for a one-time rental and then removing their membership.
The difference between the levels is the price of the membership, which correlates with the price of the handbags available to you, or how many bags per month you can borrow. I recommend checking out the closet before applying to make sure you would be able to find some things you love at the level that makes sense for you! I don’t think you’ll have any issue though as their closet is so amazing!
GIVE ME THE MEMBERSHIP DETAILS
So once you’re in the Vivrelle membership what are the gritty details we all need to know? Here we go:
Once you order you must keep items for a minimum of 30 days, but you are able to keep them for as long as you would like! For example, after 30 days you can swap for another item or you can hang onto your current item longer. You’ll be charged your monthly fee at the 30-day mark and even have the option to purchase the item at a lower cost than retail.
Items are first come first serve and they go quickly so be sure to make a wishlist!
When you see items you like you can “heart” them and save them to a wishlist even if they aren’t currently in stock. Once your hearts are back in stock Vivrelle will email you to let you know it’s available again. This is definitely the easiest way to see all your favorite bags in one place too.
New items are added every day, but be sure to try and order during the week - I’ve noticed over the weekend fewer and fewer items are added and updated.
The items range from basically new to vintage and sometimes there are signs of wear. If the bag has signs of wear then the Vivrelle team will email you with more pictures and descriptions of the wear and ask if you’d still like to rent or open your space back up again and pick something else. If you do keep the item with wear then they credit your account toward your membership payment.
You are only able to borrow items from the closet associated with your membership level. This annoyed me at first, but many of the bags I like are well below the $4,000 value and are so cute! I’ve found the main difference in Couture bags is that they are either rare materials, vintage, or limited edition designs.
ARE THE ITEMS AUTHENTIC AND WHERE ARE THEY SOURCED FROM?
Yes! Vivrelle authenticates the items and also has a third party authentic every piece. I’ve always had an amazing experience when dealing with their customer service and I can imagine that if you ever questioned the authenticity of an item their team would be more than happy to help.
All of their products are sourced from around the world and influencer closets.
Let’s Talk about Shipping
Shipping is included in your membership and a return label is in every item box you receive. All you have to do when you’re ready to send it back is replace it back in the dust bag and box, stick the label to the outside and drop it off at UPS.
Once ordered bags usually arrive within 2-3 days, but you can add 2-day shipping or overnight shipping for an extra charge. If you’re based in NYC then you can arrange for a same-day pick-up in their Midtown showroom! Here are the standard shipping details:
Orders placed Monday through Thursday prior to 2 pm ET will ship within 24 hours
Orders placed after 2 pm ET on Friday will be shipped out the following Monday
All items have base insurance on them for normal wear and tear. If you’re worried about further damage you can always upgrade your insurance for $15 per month.
What If I don’t want something every month?
I get it - not everyone wants a new bag every 30 days, so if you’re not wanting something that frequent you can freeze your Vivrelle account for $10 per month. You are not able to hold onto your current item and freeze so you’d have to send back the item and then the freeze will start. Once you’re ready to grab something else you can simply unfreeze and start shopping!
