Shop with Me September Edit
Shop with Me (2).png

Hey y’all! I hope you’re having a great week. I’ve been doing a lot of online shopping, styling and playing with old and new brands that I love. I thought it would be fun to introduce them to you, along with my styling inspo for the late summer and early fall months! What I’ve been loving, what’s in my cart, and patterns/silhouettes I’m into!

Accessories

I think everyone can agree that gold jewelry is back and here to stay, but I love the trend and have found some really affordable options lately! Other than being really cute, these are a great way to try a new style without paying too much if you don’t love it. I’m really loving chunky chains, chic over-sized earrings and classic bangles.

BAGS

Y’all know I loveee a good handbag and I’ve found some really cute ones, while also making some fun ones this summer as a hobby! Pretty much anything with a monogram I think is cute, but I really like this new Barrington Gifts style linked below. You can customize it with any pattern and colors you like how I did in the first picture! The straw bag is one that I painted this summer as a project and loved how it turned out! If you’re interested in one just let me know and I can make one for you too!

I also have loved this pearl bag that Kollin gifted me for my birthday this year. It’s so chic and feminine and I can’t wait to use it more when things settle back down.

Prints

I’m pretty basic when it comes to colors and patterns I wear, but this summer I’ve loved exploring more patterns and fun combinations. Some that I’m loving are leopard (nothing new there), baroque patterns and unique vintage florals. When trying a new pattern I like to use them in ways that are low risk or something that isn’t a staple in closet right away. For example, a bathing suit, headband or fun affordable top.

Black and White Base Colors

I’ve been really into styling black and white together lately. While this isn’t some new or revolutionary styling trick, I’ve loved how the outfits have turned out. Starting with black or white or tan as your base and then adding in the other colors is the easiest way to start. For example, a pair of white trousers and a black bodysuit. An all black outfit with a touch of tan or cognac in the accessories or shoes. One of my favorite purchases this year has been this atelier sweatshirt from H&M.

Shoes

There have been many shoe sales this year with Covid happening and retail suffering, so let’s just say I took advantage of those sales and found some of my favorite shoes! I’ve been all about comfort and these Sam Edelman mules are the perfect mix of comfort and chicness.

Hey y’all! I hope you’re having a great week and being safe! I know you’ve probably heard a lot about it already, but I wanted to put a quick post together on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that’s happening this month. I want to preface this post with the understanding of the times that we are in and that nothing in this post is something you need or that I want to promote as a necessity. The world is in a troubling and scary place right now and for a lot of people the last thing on their mind is shopping, which I understand. I won’t be covering the sale other than this post and on Instagram a bit, but for those of you who are shopping I wanted to share some guidance on the items that I think are worth the purchase.

The great thing about this sale is that the product is new, Fall items at discounted prices so you can stock up on your everyday items like jeans, home and entertaining and cozy items to stay at home with. Here are some details about the sale before you get to shopping:

In order to shop early you must be a Nordstrom card holder, otherwise the sale opens to the public on August 19th. If you’re a card holder you can log in to your Nordstrom account to see your level.

  • Preview the sale (everyone): July 24th - August 18th

  • Icon Early Access (cardholder level): August 4th - 18th

  • Ambassador Early Access (card holder level): August 7th - 18th

  • Influencer Early Access (card holder level): August 10th - 18th

Here are some pieces that I think are worth a purchase and a lot of them are items I already own and love. Happy shopping, y’all!

Remy&Roos Bracelets: a NY-based Female Founded Company
Adjustments.jpeg

Hey y’all! I’m so excited to share a new brand that I’ve been loving that makes the cutest customized beaded bracelets, Remy&Roos! Based out of New York City and founded by a sweet friend of mine, Taylor, Remy&Roos are handmade Custom 24K Gold & Glass Bead Bracelets. You can choose from several already designed bracelets as a template and pick your colors or go fully custom and design something of your own!

I opted to let the Remy&Roos team design mine and gave them some color preferences as well as a little about myself. What they came back with was so fun and vibrant for summer and I haven’t taken them off since they arrived! Create cute sayings, add names or special dates to your bracelets or keep someone close to your heart with their initials.

I’ve added some details below on the different options to choose from, but wanted to answer some FAQs here too!

THE DETAILS

What are the bracelets made of?

The bracelets are made of thick, elastic string that are cut to your exact measurements of your wrist. This is to make sure they fit and wont slide around. The beads are made from colored glass and 24K gold plated beads.

I’m not sure what design I want - where do I start?

I was the same way! I checked out their Instagram for inspo and then sent some ideas and colors that I liked! Check out the graphics below (click to enlarge) for all the different bead options! They also offer some pre-set designs that you can choose colors and letters for or stacks of bracelets priced together to make designing or gifting easy!

Where can I order them?

Remy&Roos can be found on Instagram - just send them a message to chat and submit your order! She accepts payment through Venmo or The Cash app once you’ve made an order.

How do I know my size?

Take a soft measuring tape or piece of string and wrap it around your wrist, add two fingers underneath for a comfortable fit. If you’re using the string then place the length on a ruler for the measurement in inches! For reference, I’m wearing a size small.

I hope y’all come to love Remy&Roos as much as I do (I know you will!) and can’t wait to see your stacks! Be sure to share them on Instagram with the hashtag #MyRemyAndRoos - hope y’all have a great week and thank you so much for reading!

4 Ways to Style Overalls
Adjustments.jpeg

I used to always think that overalls weren’t for me. They either looked too farmer lady or were the skin tight type some girls would wear on Halloween and found in the “sexy” section of costumes if you catch my drift.

But, to give overalls the benefit of the doubt, I hadn’t really given them a chance. They’ve come back in style in the last couple years and I thought why not give it a go! I ordered a pair from SHEIN (use code 4tcbb for 15% off your SHEIN orders!) that were affordable to make sure I liked the trend and I wasn’t disappointed! I liked the oversized fit and casual, yet edgy vibe.

Once I had them on I had a fun time styling them and realized they can be work a lot of different ways, just like any other denim piece!

SHOP THE POST

The above is how I chose to style the SHEIN pair and was inspired by a more fashion based look of puff sleeves to contrast the casual denim. I added my new favorite bag for a feminine touch and gold jewelry for more glam. I loved the way it came together and mixed many sides of fashion for a girly, yet casual outfit.

SHOP THE POST

This next look is one I would put together for date night! I love the tan color palette and sexy strappy sandals since the jumpsuit is more modest. Add a statement earring and your favorite neutral bag

Summer 2020 Swimsuit Brief
IMG_4243.jpeg

Summer is finally here and whether you’re sticking to your backyard this summer or taking a trip to the beach, I’ve rounded up the cutest bathing suits of the season! From basics, one pieces and fun patterns, I’ve got you covered! Everything below is under $50 and some are on sale.

COLOR & PATTERN

I’m usually a neutral and basics type of girl when it comes to bathing suits, but something about traveling always puts me in the mood for color and patterns during summer. Our trip to Italy showed me the most amazing patterns in the architecture, clothing and overall aesthetic of the country that I want to incorporate into the wardrobe back in the states. Summer is always a great time to try out a new color for the season and a bathing suit is a great way to do it. It’s an inexpensive way to try a new trend or color palette and if you love it you can incorporate it into your closet in other ways!

LEOPARD

I’ve always been a fan of leopard, but the last two years has really exploded the pattern everywhere. You can find it in shoes, bags, clothes, accessories and pretty much any fashion or home department these days. I somewhat consider it a neutral and believe it can be done in a really classic and chic way.

MORE COVERAGE

If you’re looking for some more coverage in a bathing suit and aren’t into the cheekiness that is popular right now, like I am, then these suits will be great for you! If you’re bustier or overall want to cover up a bit more, these styles lean that way!

ONE-PIECES

As a teenager I probably wouldn’t have been caught dead in a one piece unless it was for my swim team meet. But, the more I’ve grown up the more they have come back in style and I think they are so chic! I love ones with a belt detail or unique chain or cut out. It’s all in the details right?

WHITE BATHING SUITS

In the peak of summer you can’t go wrong with a white bathing suit. Whether you’re a bride-to-be or looking to appear a bit more tan than you are, white bathing suits are always in style. I stocked up for my bachelorette party and loved the look even after we got married when I took them on our honeymoon. A crisp and classic white are always a stylish option.
